The silver Nissan Serena is driving on the road, followed by a white Toyota Land Cruiser. The whole convoy is passing through a gate, surrounded by lush green trees and beautiful scenery.

The license plate is Malaysian, MALAYSIA 6263.

This is Ah Du's convoy. They just came out of the hotel, getting ready to start today's itinerary. Everyone agreed to travel together, from Xishuangbanna to Kunming, then to Dali and Lijiang.

"Stick close behind me, we're turning at the intersection up ahead," Ah Du calls into the walkie-talkie.

"Copy that!" the Land Cruiser driver behind him answers.

Sunlight spills on the road, tree shadows dance. Wind blows through the window, carrying the scent of flowers and plants. Ah Du drives in a great mood—they just arrived in Xishuangbanna yesterday, everyone had a great time. Today they're going to Kunming, where the crossing bridge noodles are supposed to be delicious.

He looks at the road ahead, stretching straight into the distance, as if it has no end.

This is the joy of road tripping—you never know what scenery waits up ahead, but as long as you're on the road, you're bound to encounter something wonderful.

From Xishuangbanna to Kunming, the whole trip is about 500 kilometers. The highway is in great condition, passing through Pu'er and Yuxi along the way, with beautiful scenery. Many drivers choose to stop in Pu'er, visit the tea mountains, taste Pu'er tea, and then continue toward Kunming.

"The roads in Yunnan are really great," Ah Du says. "On both sides are mountains, the scenery is especially beautiful, driving puts you in a good mood."

Indeed, China is so big, every place has its own unique beauty. Driving your own car, going slowly, looking slowly—that's what road tripping is all about.
