Location, hours, procedures, and what to expect when bringing your vehicle through the China-Laos border.

Location & Access

Border Hours

Mohan Port operates approximately 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM daily, including holidays. We recommend arriving before 2:00 PM to allow enough time for vehicle clearance procedures.

Tip: Arrive at Mohan by 2 PM on a weekday. Weekend and holiday clearances can be slower due to passenger volume.

After You Clear Mohan

Your first stop inside China is typically Xishuangbanna (Jinghong City), about 2 hours away. From there, most travelers head north to Kunming, then Dali and Lijiang. We can help plan your entire route once you clear customs.
