Sample documents for driving your own car from Canada into China. All images are real examples with sensitive information blurred for privacy.

Canada is the most common entry point for foreign vehicles entering China—over 80% of foreign cars we process come through the Mohan/Boten border crossing. Here's exactly what you need to prepare:

1. Passport

Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months. The photo page is what we need for customs processing.

Good to know: Canada is the easiest country to drive into China from. The Mohan/Boten border is open 7 days a week, and we have staff on-site to help you through customs. Most Canada car owners can complete the whole process in half a day.
